A weekend of disturbances in Luxembourg saw a man hospitalized after a knife attack, a security guard injured at a city bistro, and a drunk driver crash in Niederanven, prompting multiple police interventions.

As first reported Sunday morning, police had already been alerted on Saturday to a man who was seriously – but not life-threateningly – injured with a knife in Cessange. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Another incident occurred during the night leading into Sunday at a bistro in Luxembourg city. Eyewitnesses reported that two men had thrown glass bottles at the security staff. Additionally, one of them injured a security guard in the face with a box cutter. The suspected perpetrator was quickly stopped and arrested by police, while the second man was also identified.

Regarding traffic incidents, on Saturday evening a man was reported for crashing into another car in Niederanven while driving under the influence and without a valid driver’s license, before fleeing the scene. The heavily damaged vehicle was later located by police on Senningerberg.
