On Sunday between 7.45pm and 9.15pm, a large-scale alcohol check took place on the Rue du Pont in Gilsdorf on the orders of the public prosecutor's office.

Police carried out checks on 518 motorists over the weekend, resulting in six positive breathalyser tests and one licence being revoked.

On Sunday evening in Esch-sur-Alzette, a patrol noticed a car swerving along Rue des Noyers. The driver tested positive for alcohol and immediately had their licence withdrawn.

That same evening in Wilwerwiltz, police were alerted to a vehicle standing in the middle of the road. Officers found the driver still at the scene, under the influence of alcohol, and issued a provisional driving ban.
