Police reported several break-ins on Thursday morning, resulting in the theft of jewellery, an Apple Watch, and other valuables.
Intruders entered a property on Rue de Mensdorf in Obersyren on Wednesday, searching through a number of rooms in the process. Another home was broken into in Filsdorf, where thieves are said to have stolen jewellery.
An investigation has been launched into each incident.
Burglars also targeted cars in various locations. On Wednesday evening, a car parked in Bascharage was broken into and searched, as the thief made off with an Apple Watch.
Shortly after 4am on Thursday morning, police received reports of a man trying to open car doors on Rue de Holtz in Rambrouch. He successfully gained access to one vehicle, but was disturbed by a resident while trying to search the car. However, by the time police arrived on the scene, the intruder had fled.
A search yielded no results. Police opened an investigation into both incidents.
