The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Service (CGDIS) attended two incidents on Friday, after a crash at the Gasperich interchange caused major traffic jams in the morning and a kitchen fire broke out in Hagen.
Just before 7am, two vehicles collided at the Gasperich interchange towards Kirchberg. One lane was blocked, leading to tailbacks as far as Strassen. One person was injured.
Around 10.20am, a kitchen fire was reported in Hagen, with emergency crews from Steinfort, Mamer, and Sanem/Differdange called to the scene.
From Thursday evening, it was also reported that a motorcyclist fell shortly after 6pm between Hemstal and Brouch. He was taken to hospital with injuries by Junglinster emergency services.
