Police dealt with two robberies in Luxembourg City on Thursday afternoon and a separate knife incident involving an intoxicated man in Ingeldorf.

Police were called to a shop in Ingeldorf after reports that an intoxicated man had stolen items and brandished a knife. Officers found the suspect at the scene. He was detained following a medical check.

Later that afternoon, a robbery was reported on Avenue Pescatore, where two men stole a victim’s mobile phone. An immediate search of the area was unsuccessful and police have opened an investigation.

Around the same time on Avenue John F. Kennedy in Kirchberg, several people attacked two victims. When the victims resisted, the confrontation escalated and a jacket and cash were stolen. The attackers fled. A further investigation has been initiated.
