With the heatwave set to continue, how can you cool off in Luxembourg? According to our interviewees, you could go for a swim in Remerschen ponds, or sample a cool mint syrup drink in a café. Drinking generally was recommended, in particular to avoid headaches.

A local business owner said the heat had not helped footfall, as people tend to stay indoors or in the shade when the sun is at its highest. However, this is usually the case in August, he added.

By far the most popular recommendation, however, was to cool off with a delicious ice cream. And, most fortuitously, we recently published a roundup of Luxembourg’s best ice cream parlours!
