A collision between two cars in Niederkorn on Thursday morning led to one vehicle crashing into the terrace of a bakery.
According to initial police information, the accident occurred on Route de Longwy when a car travelling at higher speed collided with another vehicle, causing it to veer onto the bakery's terrace. One person sitting on the terrace was seriously injured. Another terrace guest, as well as the driver of the car, were taken to hospital for examination.
On the orders of the public prosecutor's office, the forensic and technical investigation unit was dispatched to determine the exact circumstances of the crash.

The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) bulletin reports that four people were injured in the accident, which took place shortly before 10am.
Ambulances from Sanem-Differdange, Pétange, and Kayl, as well as the Sanem-Differdange fire brigade and the Esch/Alzette emergency medical service (SAMU), responded to the scene.
Bakery management stated that surveillance footage shows an elderly man behind the wheel.
The bakery will remain closed until further notice as the windows and façade were damaged in the incident. Three staff members were in shock following the incident and are receiving support from the CGDIS psychological assistance unit.
