Multiple police investigations are underway after burglary attempts and car break-ins occurred across Luxembourg Wednesday.
Luxembourg police are investigating a series of criminal incidents reported within hours of each other on Wednesday evening, including residential burglary attempts and vehicle break-ins.
In Hagen, a would-be burglar was interrupted while attempting to enter a single-family home on Rue Principale. The suspect allegedly smashed a window, alerting residents and prompting their escape. Despite an immediate police response, the perpetrator remains at large.
On the same evening in Esch-sur-Alzette, an attempted break-in on Rue Mathias Koerner was thwarted when intruders triggered the home's alarm system around 10.30pm.
Vehicles targeted in separate incidents
In the Gare neighbourhood of Luxembourg City, two individuals broke into a parked car and rummaged through its contents.
Another vehicle was compromised on Rue du Verger in Bonnevoie-nord, with preliminary reports indicating the theft of a pair of glasses.
Authorities have launched investigations into all incidents.
