BIL has issued a fraud alert following reports of a fake website stealing customer data.
The Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) has issued a warning about a recent surge in online fraud. The bank has identified fraudulent activity linked to a fake website designed to mimic BIL's official page.
The imitation site prompts users to enter personal details. According to RTL sources, several customers reportedly fell victim to the scam after failing to recognise the fraudulent site.
To protect against such threats, BIL is urging customers to avoid accessing its online services through Google or other search engines. Instead, the bank recommends using its secure mobile app or manually entering the official website address: https://www.bil.com.
Customers should also verify that the connection is secure and the URL is correct before entering any information, BIL emphasised in a statement on its website.
For more information, customers can visit the bank's official website.
