The Luxembourg Institute for Standardisation, Accreditation, Safety and Quality of Services (ILNAS) said that 351 Citroën C3 and DS3 vehicles, equipped with airbags supplied by the now-defunct Japanese manufacturer Takata, were currently registered in Luxembourg. The Stellantis group, which manufactures the cars, recently introduced the do-not-drive order for these vehicles in the wake of a fatal accident in France.

The manufacturer has advised owners not to drive their cars until the airbag has been replaced. All owners of the vehicles concerned will receive an official communication from ILNAS over the coming days to explain the necessary processes.

This campaign follows a series of communications sent in February 2025 regarding the airbag issue. At the time, 1,118 cars were affected. This time, the cars in question are vehicles which have yet to have the airbag replaced.
