A single case of needle pricking occurred during Luxembourg’s National Day weekend, Minister for Home Affairs Léon Gloden confirmed to parliament on Tuesday.
The incident, which took place between Sunday night and Monday morning, bears similarities to numerous cases recently reported at the nationwide Fête de la Musique in France.
French authorities have documented 145 such incidents, all targeting women. While Luxembourg’s case appears isolated, Minister Gloden stated police are investigating potential connections to the French occurrences.
