RTL will be by your side from Saturday all the way to Monday, as we celebrate National Day together.
This year's National Day is even more special than usual: It marks the 25th anniversary of Grand Duke Henri's reign, an event that will be the centre of attention in the coming days. Across the Grand Duchy, this weekend will be filled with celebrations, and of course, RTL will also be joining on TV, radio, and RTL play with a special programming lineup dedicated to the National Day.

The festivities kicked off in style with the Son et Lumière show, which took place on the façade of the Grand Ducal Palace.

The day will start at 8.50am with a special television broadcast. We’ll be live from the Philharmonie to show the arrival of the honoured guests for the ceremony, which begins at 9:00 a.m. This ceremony will focus on the 25-year reign of Grand Duke Henri and is expected to include several surprises, all broadcast live on TV and online. You’ll then be able to hear various reactions throughout the day on the RTL.lu radio.
At noon, we’ll broadcast the traditional military and civil parade on the New Avenue, available to watch on TV and RTL.lu, with radio commentary by Roy Grotz.
In the afternoon, following the ceremony, you’ll see a television program titled “25 Years in the Service of the Country,” which will include historical reports and interviews with Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. On RTL.lu radio, Patrick Greis and Alain Atten will analyse this theme in depth from 1pm to 2pm.
At 4.15pm, we will also broadcast the Te Deum live from the cathedral. The highlights of the entire day will be shown at 7pm on TV.
