A Sunday evening fight on a football pitch in Grevenmacher and a separate hit-and-run incident in Beaufort prompt police investigations.

At around 6.15pm, emergency services were alerted to a violent altercation between two groups on Rue du Stade in Grevenmacher.

According to the police bulletin, the situation escalated quickly, with multiple individuals clashing. Several police patrols were dispatched to the scene, but by the time officers arrived, those involved had already fled in various directions.

Despite an immediate search, the suspects could not be located. Initial reports indicate that two people were injured. Police investigations are ongoing.

Call for witnesses in car park incident

In a separate case, police are appealing for witnesses after a hit-and-run incident in Beaufort on Sunday.

Between 2.30pm and 6.30pm, an accident occurred in the car park of the Lëtschert Cultural Centre. The passenger side of a Skoda was damaged after being struck by another vehicle, whose driver left the scene without reporting the incident.
