Drug-sniffing dog, Chase, led Luxembourg customs officers to a major narcotics discovery during a train check last week, resulting in the seizure of cocaine, ecstasy, and other illegal drugs.
On 11 April, Luxembourg customs officers apprehended an individual carrying narcotics during a routine train inspection, aided by their drug detection dog, Chase.
During the check, the canine alerted officers to the suspect, who allegedly attempted – and failed – to conceal the illicit substances. Authorities seized 40g of cocaine, 11 ecstasy pills, and small quantities of hashish and marijuana, along with two mobile phones.
Following the arrest, the suspect was presented before an examining magistrate, who ordered them to be remanded in custody. Further investigation revealed the individual was violating a Schengen Area travel ban, a fact later confirmed by French authorities.
