Free-range and barn eggs from Depo-Ei CV have been recalled in Luxembourg over concerns of salmonella contamination.
On Thursday, the Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) announced a recall of eggs distributed by Depo-Ei CV due to the potential presence of salmonella.
The recall affects both free-range and barn eggs, with an amber alert (medium risk/danger) issued by the authorities.
The recall applies to all eggs with best before dates (BBD) between 27 January 2025 and 24 March 2025, inclusive. The affected stamped codes are 1-BE-306401, 1BE306402, and 2BE306403.
According to Luxembourg authorities, these eggs were likely distributed to various points of sale across the Grand Duchy.
