Luxembourg's internationally acclaimed actress Vicky Krieps celebrates another success with her latest role in Hot Milk, which premiered at the Berlinale cinema festival on 14 February.

The film, which marks the directorial debut of Rebecca Lenkiewicz, features Krieps in one of three leading female roles alongside Emma Mackey and Fiona Shaw.

Based on Deborah Levy's novel of the same name, Hot Milk tells the story of a young woman (Emma Mackey) who travels with her ill mother (Fiona Shaw) to a small Spanish village in the hopes of finding a cure from a shaman. Vicky Krieps plays a free-spirited tourist who falls in love with Mackey's character.

Krieps, born in Hesperange in 1983, first gained recognition in Measuring the World alongside Florian David Fitz and has since delivered excellent performances in Corsage, Ingeborg Bachmann, and The Dead Don't Hurt, the latter directed by and co-starring Viggo Mortensen.
