Starting Wednesday, Luxembourg's minimum wage for qualified workers will increase to €3,165, alongside tax-free provisions for unqualified wages and pension adjustments.

Luxembourg's minimum wage will increase to €3,165 for qualified workers, effective 1 January 2025. The minimum wage will thus rise by approximately €80, with the previous amount set at €3,085 gross per month.

This adjustment, which reflects both inflation and wage developments, will also see the unqualified minimum wage reach around €2,638 per month, starting Wednesday. Additionally, the unqualified wage will now be tax-free.

Alongside these minimum wage increase, the pensions for individuals with severe disabilities will also be adjusted, though this change will only come into effect at the end of June 2025. The gross pension rate will rise by 1.6% on Wednesday as well, in accordance with legal requirements.

The Chamber of Deputies approved these decisions on 12 December.
