Police are investigating the robbery of two teenagers in the City on Sunday evening while being kept busy during to multiple incidents of drunk driving.
According to early reports, two teenagers were threatened by a group of individuals on Rue du Nord in the City on Sunday evening. The suspects stole their coats and phones before fleeing the scene. Police have yet to apprehend the culprits, and an investigation is ongoing.
Drunk driving incidents keep police busy overnight
In the early hours of Sunday, police intercepted two motorists driving under the influence. The first incident occurred late Saturday night when authorities were alerted to a driver moving at an unusually slow pace and nearly veering into a ditch. The vehicle was stopped in Canach, where the driver failed an alcohol test. Their license was immediately revoked.
Later, at around 5am on Sunday, police responded to reports of two individuals arguing in the middle of the road in the Gare district. By the time officers arrived, only one person remained at the scene. Their car was parked in the middle of the road, and after testing positive for alcohol, their license was also revoked.
