Aside from several break-ins, the latest police bulletin mentions the case of a pedestrian in Luxembourg City who had their phone stolen while using it to talk to someone.
On Tuesday evening, a pedestrian had their phone stolen in the Gare neighbourhood in Luxembourg City.
The victim was walking along Rue Joseph Funck and speaking to someone on the phone when an unknown individual snatched the device out of their hand and fled towards Avenue de la Liberté. When the victim attempted to pursue the thief, they tripped and injured themselves.
Burglaries
In addition to this incident, the Luxembourg police reported several break-ins.
A single-family home on Rue de Lavoir in Rodange was targeted by burglars on Tuesday evening.
On the same evening, unknown individuals broke into a home on Rue des Maraîchers in Luxembourg City.
In both cases, the forensic police were despatched to secure evidence.
