A driver fainting at the wheel led to a two-car accident at a roundabout in Niederkorn on Tuesday morning.

Shortly before 11am on Tuesday, two cars were involved in a collision at the roundabout in Niederkorn, located between Rue Pierre Gansen and Avenue de la Liberté.

According to the police, the accident occurred when one of the drivers fainted at the wheel, causing their vehicle to collide with another. The car of the first driver ended up on the traffic island.

The driver who reportedly fainted was taken to the hospital, and the road was temporarily closed. Paramedics from Esch-sur-Alzette and Sanem-Differdange were on site to assist.
