On Thursday morning, passengers on the Metz-Thionville-Luxembourg line are facing significant delays, with trains halted at both Metz and Thionville stations since at least 6.50am following a technical incident on the track after Thionville.
At 7.20am, TER NancyMetzLux announced via its X account that services had been disrupted in both directions between Thionville and Luxembourg due to an infrastructure malfunction, with earlier reports pointing to a technical fault on the track at Hettange.
Throughout the morning delays and cancellations were ongoing on the Moselle Valley line, which is a key route for cross-border workers commuting between France and Luxembourg via Bettembourg. Normal service started to resume gradually at 8.30am.
