In response to Green Party concerns, Prime Minister Luc Frieden stated that no additional structural changes will be made to the House of the Grand Duke, aside from routine staff retirements and new appointments expected in the coming months.
Luc Frieden has addressed proposed changes to the operations of institutions like the House of the Grand Duke, a question raised by the Green Party (déi Gréng). “He has repeatedly confirmed that no further changes will be implemented there,” recounted Sam Tanson. "While some practical adjustments may be needed, he has not initiated any decisions on structural modifications."
Only two staff adjustments are expected, prompted solely by retirements, with no new nominations announced yet. Operations will continue to be managed via decrees.
The prime minister also emphasised that these staff changes are routine. “I informed the Chamber that major changes have already been addressed,” Frieden added, noting that a new court marshal, Ms. Baillie, will begin in March and will require time to form her team. As part of this transition, searches are underway for a new director, staff manager, and operations manager for the Grand Ducal House. The decree governing the House of the Grand Duke will remain substantively unchanged, with new team members for the marshal expected in the coming months.
