On Saturday afternoon, a car struck a pedestrian on the Rue Alexis Heck in Diekirch at 4.30pm.

The victim suffered serious injuries to her leg. Police are now urgently seeking witnesses, notably the driver of a white car who immediately assisted the victim following the accident.

Shortly after 4pm, a child was also hit and injured by a car on Rue Portland in Esch-sur-Alzette. Local emergency services were on hand to treat the young victim.
