The hunting season in Luxembourg has officially started this Saturday, 18 October, and will run to 8 January 2025.
It is essential to remain vigilant while driving during this time. The Ministry of Mobility, in partnership with the Road Safety Agency and the Hunter's Federation, has issued guidelines for navigating hunting season: keep a careful watch along the roadside, particularly in forested areas, fields, or any locations that suggest the presence of wildlife. It is also important to reduce speed in these zones, as wild animals or dogs may suddenly enter the road.
If you happen to hit an animal, do not touch or move it; instead, inform the police immediately. Additionally, refrain from walking in woods marked with signs of a driven hunt.
