On Friday morning the police was called to an accident in Wasserbillig, where they quickly realised the car was not in the rightful owner's hands.

The vehicle had crashed into an electricity distributor before colliding with two other cars. Primary investigations quickly revealed that the car was stolen, which led the police officers to confront the driver. Besides, the conducted alcohol test was positive, so the culprit's license was seized as a consequence.

The prosecutor's office was informed about the situation and promptly ordered the man to go into custody. He appeared before the examining magistrate on the same day.
