Meteolux has issued a yellow alert for Luxembourg, with heavy rainfall expected to impact Luxembourg from late Friday evening until early Saturday morning.
On Friday, Meteolux issued a rain warning for all of Luxembourg, set to take effect tonight.
The national weather service has placed the country under a yellow alert, indicating that continuous rain is expected from 10pm until 7am on Saturday. Accumulations of 20 to 30 litres per square metre are anticipated over the 12-hour period.
Residents in flood-prone areas or those who have previously experienced drainage issues are advised to exercise caution.
Additionally, neighbouring regions in France, including the departments of Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, and Ardennes, have also been placed under yellow rain and flood alerts, effective from 4pm until 6am on Saturday.
A significant portion of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany is similarly under yellow alert as of Friday morning.
