On Wednesday morning, business magazine Paperjam reported that recent calculations published by Eurostat estimate Luxembourg’s inflation rate for September at 1.3%, which would be the lowest level in over three years.

If these calculations hold, no further wage indexation would be triggered in 2024. The next possible adjustment would not occur until spring 2025.

Luxembourg’s National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (STATEC) is expected to release its own inflation forecast on Monday.
