The Luxembourg Association of Professional Journalists (ALJP), has joined journalist Charlotte Wirth of reporter.lu in her complaint against the Ministry of the Interior.
The ALJP has joined as a civil party, which it confirmed in a press release, stating that the Ministry of the Interior has refused Wirth's request for access to certain documents. The basis of the refusal was a decision made by the Commission for Access to Documents - however, based on current stipulations, access should have been granted.
This particular case has been described as decisive given that the legislation on access to information in Luxembourg is currently under reform. Further details of this case are to be revealed at a press conference in the near future.
