The warning first warning was issued nationwide from 11am until 7pm, indicating the potential for hail up to 1cm in diameter and rapid rainfall accumulation between 15 and 30 liters per square meter.
Meteolux issued an update at 1.30pm for the north of Luxembourg: the area could have expected strong thunderstorms with the possibility of hail, heavy showers and very strong gusts of wind from 1 to 4pm.
The south remained under the initial yellow warning until 4.30pm.
