On Monday, the Economic Committee, chaired by Minister of Labour Georges Mischo, convened to assess the economic situation and the state of the labour market.

A key item on the agenda was reviewing requests from companies seeking to implement short-time work for the month of September.

A total of 66 companies submitted requests for short-time work, an increase of ten from August. After thorough analysis, the committee approved 59 of these requests. As a result, 7,429 employees will be affected by the measure in September, up from 7,054 in August.
