This Friday at 5pm, the historic Schueberfouer fair will open its doors at the Glacis field in Luxembourg City.

Founded in 1340 by John the Blind, the event transforms the area into one of Europe's largest and most renowned funfairs, offering entertainment for all ages.

The Schueberfouer is a major attraction in both the Greater Region and Europe, celebrated for its blend of tradition, gastronomy, and thrilling rides.

New and returning attractions for 2024

This year's fair will feature 216 establishments, showcasing a mix of new and familiar attractions. Among the newcomers are the Jetlag, previously popular at Techno Power in 2019, the Starlight caterpillar ride, the Laser Pix interactive course, the Wild Wasser Blume river ride, and the Spuk ghost train.

Visitors with a taste for fast food can look forward to new options such as Magic Crêpes, Wrap Factory, Mini Donuts Factory, and Crêpes & More.

Long-time favourites like the Wilde Maus, Bayernkurve, Circus Circus, the Jules Verne Tower with its stunning views of the capital, and the Bellevue Ferris wheel will also return, along with many other well-known establishments.

Family Day and operating hours

On 28 August, the fair will host a Family Day, offering reduced prices across the fairground, including at gaming establishments, food vendors, and rides.

The Schueberfouer will be open daily from noon until 1am. The event will conclude on Wednesday, 11 September, with the traditional fireworks display from the Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge.
