Mondercange councillor Steven Curfs has resigned from the Pirate Party amid growing internal tensions, citing disagreements with the party's management practices.

Mondercange councillor Steven Curfs on Saturday announced that he has left the Pirate Party with immediate effect, according to reports from Radio 100,7. In a personal statement, Curfs later explained his decision by saying that that he no longer agrees with the party's management practices.

Curfs' departure comes against the backdrop of unrest among Pirate Party members, with MP Ben Polidori also recently leaving the party amid tension between MPs Sven Clement and Marc Goergen.

At present, it is unclear whether Curfs will stay on the Mondercange municipal council as an independent.
