Roadworks on the A1 motorway are causing traffic disruptions and tailbacks during rush hours.

Patience is required for all road users travelling down the A1 from Trier to Luxembourg City.

Roadworks on the Munsbach viaduct have been underway since Friday evening.

The National Roads Administration are installing a seal on the tracks towards Luxembourg City.

Traffic is therefore transferred to the opposite lanes, with one lane open per direction and speeds limited to 50 km/h. This has understandably led to disruptions, with several kilometres of tailbacks during rush hour.

In addition, the Munsbach exit is closed in the direction of Luxembourg City. Diversions are in place.

The end of the project is scheduled for Monday, 22 July at 6am.
