On Saturday morning at around 9.45am, a serious accident occurred on the A6 motorway heading towards Arlon.

A three-wheeled Piaggio was travelling on the motorway when it was rear-ended by a car, causing the Piaggio to be catapulted into the air and ejecting the driver. The driver sustained serious injuries and was treated at the scene by an emergency doctor, according to a police report.

The motorway was temporarily closed to traffic for cleanup operations.

In another incident on Saturday morning, a car and a lorry collided on the A1 between Flaxweiler and Potaschberg, heading towards Trier. This accident also resulted in injuries.

Additionally, a garage fire was reported on Rue de Limpach in Sanem. No injuries were reported in this incident.
