The Ministry of Education announced the final results of the standardised European Baccalaureate in a press release on Friday.
88 students from the International School of Differdange and Esch-sur-Alzette (EIDE), as well as 28 students from the Lënster Lycée International School (LLIS) passed their secondary school leaving exams and were granted the European Baccalaureate.
At LLIS, 100% of baccalaureate candidates passed, consisting of 16 girls and 12 boys. At EIDE, the success rate for the baccalaureate was 97.8%, with two students out of 90 registered candidates having failed the exams.
At EIDE, 24 of the 88 pupils who passed their baccalaureate were enrolled in the English section, 52 in the French section and 12 in the German section.
The LLIS pupils were the first graduating class with a European Baccalaureate at their school. Of the 28 baccalaureate holders, 11 took the English section and 17 the German section.
