Following Luxair's decision not to pursue the CargoCenter licence, which was instead awarded to Luxcargo Handling—a company established by Cargolux—social elections for new staff delegations in both companies were rescheduled from 12 March to 2 July 2024.

At Luxcargo Handling, the company now responsible for cargo operations with over 1,300 employees, 15 mandates were up for election. The Luxembourg Confederation of Christian Trade Unions (LCGB) secured nine mandates, while the Independent Luxembourg Trade Union Confederation (OGBL) obtained six.

Meanwhile, at Luxair, where 17 mandates were contested, the LCGB won eleven, with the OGBL securing the remaining six.

In 2019, the Union of Aviation Employees (SEA) led at Luxair with 45% of the votes. The OGBL and LCGB held 25% each, while the Neutral Union of Luxembourg (NGL) secured 5%.
