The municipality of Käerjeng issued an appeal for witnesses on Facebook at midday Wednesday, following two suspected arson attacks.
A chalet, which had hosted children's activities for years, was "deliberately destroyed," according to the local authorities. They reported that two separate fires were detected: the first on 7 June at around 5.30pm, and the second on Tuesday at approximately 2.15pm.
The incidents occurred "um Schack," in a forest behind a retention basin between Clemency and Hautcharage.
