On Monday evening, a 22-year-old driver tore through a police checkpoint in Wiltz at high speed. After a brief pursuit, a police patrol apprehended the driver.
A check of the driver’s documents revealed that they were already under a driving ban.
On closer examination of the vehicle, the police also found hashish in the car. The public prosecutor’s office ordered the driver’s immediate detention. On Tuesday morning, an arrest warrant was issued by the examining magistrate.
