A person was taken into custody Friday evening following an incident that drew the attention of a police patrol on Rue du Commerce in Luxembourg City.
Acting in a heavily inebriated state, the individual displayed aggressive behaviour towards pedestrians around 10pm, shouting and striking a parked car with their fist.
According to a police bulletin, a significant number of noise complaints were registered, totalling approximately a dozen cases. However, upon police intervention, all parties involved acknowledged their actions, leading to peaceful resolutions without further incident.
Police records indicate a total of 20 interventions due to disturbances and altercations, predominantly involving alcohol. In several instances, however, upon police arrival, the situation had either subsided or the individuals involved had dispersed. When complainants were still present, they were able to file reports with law enforcement.
Additionally, authorities report a burglary at an apartment building in Belair/Luxembourg City between 8am and 10pm on Friday. Forensic police attended the scene, initiating an investigation into the matter.
