The Grand Ducal police confirmed that a service station was robbed on Saturday morning in Merl. According to the police report, the events took place late in the morning at around 11am.

The cashier was allegedly threatened with a sharp object and had no choice but to empty the cash register.

The assailant fled after securing the stolen money in cash. The cashier was not injured. A search operation has been launched, without success, by the police.
