Police reported three incidents of drink driving on Thursday afternoon.
Police in Dudelange pulled a vehicle over for its suspicious driving style on Thursday afternoon. The driver, who had been zigzagging along Route de Boudersberg, refused to undergo a breathalyser test, while a subsequent background check revealed the woman was in fact violating a previous driving ban. The woman's vehicle was seized and her driving licence was confiscated by order of the public prosecutor.
A second car was pulled over by police in Bridel on the CR181. A test revealed the driver had exceeded the legal alcohol limit and they had their licence removed as a consequence.
In Niederkorn another visibly intoxicated motorist drew attention, although this driver also refused to cooperate when pulled over by police. As a result of refusing a breathalyser test, he had his licence provisionally removed.
