A number of accidents took place overnight as storms battered the Grand Duchy.

At around 7.30pm on Tuesday evening, a car hit a tree on the N33 between Kayl and Rumelange, leaving two people with injuries. The road was subsequently closed for several hours.

Elsewhere, another person was injured in a collision between two vehicles on the N7 between Ingeldorf and Diekirch at 5.30pm, while at 5.15pm a bus came off the road and ended up in a ditch on the  CR172 between Pissange and Ehlange. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
