Most municipalities prohibit the use of fireworks, firecrackers or other explosives due to personal safety concerns, to protect the environment or to safeguard animal welfare.
RTL has asked each municipality whether they allow fireworks this New Year’s Eve. The map below (in Luxembourgish, but red means banned, green means not banned but with restrictions, and grey is no info) shows what each municipality had to say:
If your municipality is not included in the list above, and you would like to celebrate this New Year’s Eve with fireworks, call your local council who will best inform you on what is allowed in your locality.
