A recent incident near Pommerloch involved the pursuit and arrest of an intoxicated driver who attempted to evade the authorities. In a separate incident, a driver was apprehended for driving under the influence of alcohol and has been banned from driving.

At around 7.45pm on Sunday evening, police received reports of a vehicle exhibiting erratic driving patterns on the A7. A police patrol intercepted the vehicle. During the inspection, the driver refused to undergo an alcohol test, and it was discovered that they were already under a temporary driving ban. Consequently, the driver was fined, and the vehicle was impounded upon orders from the public prosecutor's office.

In a separate incident, during the early hours of Monday, shortly after midnight, a police patrol responded to a vehicle stopped on the N15 near Pommerloch. Upon seeing the officers, the driver hastily restarted their vehicle and attempted to evade them.

The officers successfully intercepted the car not far from its initial location. While conducting the inspection, officers detected the smell of cannabis. Subsequent on-site drug testing confirmed the presence of drugs in the driver's system. A small quantity of cannabis was also confiscated. The driver was fined.
