A recently installed speed camera at the entrance to the Micheville tunnel under Belval is ready to start its operational phase and will begin issuing fines from 16 October.

The Bridges and Roads Authority has confirmed that this fixed speed camera will monitor motorists traveling towards France. It complements the existing camera that monitors the opposite direction towards Luxembourg. Cross-border commuters will therefore need to keep a particularly close eye on their speed in both directions.

The enforced speed limit for this segment of the B40 is 70 km/h. As is customary with speed cameras in Luxembourg, a tolerance of 3 km/h (for speeds below 100 km/h) and 3% (for speeds above 100 km/h) will be subtracted from the recorded speed values.
