Due to a nationwide strike by air traffic controllers in Italy, disruptions to air traffic are expected on Friday, 10 April, between 1pm and 5pm. Luxair has confirmed that some of its flights will be affected.
The airline stated that it is closely monitoring the situation and will make every effort to minimise the impact. Among the affected routes are flights LG6493 to Milan and LG6494 to Milan-Linate. Passengers on these services are expected to be rebooked onto alternative flights on either Friday or Saturday.
Flights to Pescara will also be adjusted, with connections originally scheduled for 10 April moved to 11 April. In addition, delays are anticipated for flights to and from Bari, Venice, Bologna, Rome-Fiumicino, and Milan-Malpensa.
Luxair noted that further disruptions cannot be ruled out and said passengers would be informed of any changes. The airline recommends that travellers check the status of their flight before heading to the airport and allow extra time due to possible extended waiting periods.
Other carriers operating flights from Luxembourg to Italy include Ryanair and easyJet. No Ryanair flights are scheduled for Friday, and there has been no information so far regarding the single easyJet flight to Milan scheduled for that day.
