The Saint-Esprit car park in Luxembourg City, which has been closed for three years due to renovation work, will soon re-open. This re-opening has been dependent upon the selection of a manager and, according to the Ministry for Mobility and Public Works, the tender offer was awarded to Indigo Park S.A..
At present, a portion of the car park is reserved for exclusive use by civil servants and government employees, but part of this section will soon be open to other motorists. This partial opening is scheduled for Monday 30 October.
The car park will be open for four working days during the week, but only in the evenings and at night. It will also be open to the public on weekends and public holidays.
This partial opening will last until renovation work on the car park below Place Clairefontaine is completed, which is scheduled for early 2024. Civil servants will then be able to use this car park again, freeing up the Saint-Esprit car park.
The cost of renovating the 600-place car park, originally opened in 1985, has been estimated at nearly €7 million.
