If you’ve been seeing lots of crosses and other large wooden structures throughout the Grand Duchy, don’t worry: they’re part of the Buergbrennen celebrations. This tradition symbolises the burning-away of winter as local communities come together to light some rather striking bonfires.
While normally taking place on the first Sunday after Carnival, a few local bonfires will also be lit on Saturday for organisational purposes. You can find our tentative schedule here, but we still advise you to check an official source in your local municipality.

One of the most influential voices in British pop music since the 80s, Morrissey takes his latest tour to the Grand Duchy, carrying a legacy of more than 40 years of hits. After revolutionising Britain’s musical landscape with The Smiths, the oft-controversial frontman went on to have an impressive solo career, and brings us his repertoire of iconic songs of longing, alienation, heartbreak, but also evocatively hopeful and darkly humorous.
Doors open at 7pm, with Morrissey expected to take the stage at 8.40pm. Limited tickets are still available.
