The weather station at Findel Airport corroborates this, revealing that the initial ten days of September saw an average temperature of 20.3°C, surpassing the previous record set in September 2005, which stood at 20.2°C.
Nevertheless, the national weather service stresses that observing daily maximum temperatures exceeding 30°C in September is not uncommon.
In fact, this has occurred on 13 occasions in the station’s history, with the highest recorded temperature of 32.2°C documented on 15 and 16 September 2020.
