Emergency services were informed about a woman going into labour at 9.30pm. When the team arrived on site, the baby had already been born.
According to the CGDIS, the mother had gone through rapid labour, also known as precipitate delivery. The term refers to cases when a baby is born unusually fast, often within three hours of regular contractions starting.
The mother and child were taken to hospital, accompanied by first responders. Both are said to be doing well.
